Doctors in Barcelona have claimed that \u2018sex roulette\u2019 parties taking place, usually among gay men \u2013 and it echoes previous reports of such parties among wealthy people in Serbia.<\/p>\n

The \u2018thrill\u2019 comes from knowing you might be infected, people who claim to have attended such parties say.<\/p>\n

Dr Josep Mallolas of Hospital Clinic Barcelona says that the parties are a sign that people have \u2018lost respect\u2019 for HIV, in a report in el Periodico.<\/a><\/p>\n

Mallolas says, \u2018There is everything: sex roulette parties, or sex parties you can only attend if you already have HIV.\u2019<\/p>\n

Mallolas says that some of the parties are known as \u2018blue\u2019 parties because attendees take anti-viral medication to cut the risk of transmitting the virus.<\/p>\n

Last year, a Serbian stripper called Tijana claimed that the parties originated in Serbia \u2013 and were named Serbian sex roulette, after Russian roulette.<\/p>\n

She said, \u2018This bizarre variation that seems popular for extreme sex. People who turn up for the party wear masks, and one of them has HIV.<\/p>\n
