Obviously, there are a few core differences between male and female orgasms. For one, female orgasms can last 20 seconds or more, while male orgasms typically last about 3 to 10 seconds.<\/p>\n

However, although the female orgasm may last longer, it\u2019s certainly more rare than the male orgasm. Researchers found that males orgasm 95 percent of the time during sex, while females only orgasm about 69 percent of the time.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, when it comes down to the way males and females describe the feelings of an orgasm, as well as the brain activity that occurs during an orgasm, there\u2019s striking similarities between the two.<\/p>\n

Regardless of gender, the brain stimulates blood flow to the genitals, and heartbeat and breathing increase, according to AsapSCIENCE. Further, PET scans have showed significant differences in the brain regions that become active during arousal, though the brain activity during an orgasm itself is the same in men and women.<\/p>\n

So which orgasm is better? AsapSCIENCE says the question boils down to the more personal attributes, like an individual\u2019s physiology, anatomy, and psychology.<\/p>\n
