Sex Social Workers Scams, Don’t Become A Victim!

Typically sex social workers do not run scams, all they want is to get you done as quickly as possible, with no hassles and on to the next.

Most of the scams are run by the Costa Rican men (Ticos) who prey on foreginers, in particular “Gringos” (North Americans).

Sometimes, they force their sex social worker girlfriend into the scam. Or just simply she is out to get you – not you in particular, nothing personal – you are just a mark.

A scam can be as simple as your girl offering to use “her” special taxi driver, who happens to be just hanging around or within minutes of a phone call.

Scams come in all sizes and shapes, so be aware of what is going on around you.

A good rule to avoid being scammed is to carry as little cash as possible, enough to pay for the cab, the bar bill, the motel room and the girl. Leave your valuables in your hotel room safe, that includes jewellery, credit cards and passport.

NEVER BRING BAG THE GIRL BACK TO YOUR HOTEL ROOM. Always use a second location, a room by the hour place – there are many in downtown San Jose, some nice, so not so much.  A typical room will cost you less than US$20 for a couple of hours, which you won’t use anways.

A scam that occurs often enough to get mention here is the tag team, two girls wanting to be with you.

It starts off pretty innocently, she has a friend, “she is not doing so well tonight”, “she really needs the money”, “I know her well”, “she is like my sister” and so on. Believe me they can get pretty creative, working on your weakness.

Once back to the room, all of a sudden “the friend”, “the bosom buddy”, “the bestie”, gets shy. Or many she gets shy and lets the other girl take care of you, while she takes care of your wallet and anything of value in your room. Not if you had taken the previous advice.

Many hotels will not allow two women with you. Even if you insist and are willing to pay the extra person fee. Now you know why.

Reporting being a victim of a scam to police is an option, but the majority go unreported.  The shame of having to file a police report; filing the police report itself, a process that can take a couple of hours at best and unlikely anyone will speak English; having it on an official record, and so on.

Moreso, nothing will ever be done. And if by some luck police catch her, will you be around for trial in six or twelve months or two years?

Hanging out in monger spots you can get the low down on the latest scam. Use the comments section below to tell your story, so that someone else won’t become a victim.
