The details are sketchy, Judicial authorities – the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) – are only saying they arrested a 55 year-old Nicaraguan woman on Thursday, on suspicion of forcing several women into prostitution in a bar in the city of Puntarenas.
The name of the bar was not disclosed, or how many women worked there or if it involved minors.
“Apparently, the women were forced to have sex with clients who frequented the place and also supposedly,” said the official police line.
