American Woman Stabbed To Death ‘By Jealous Younger Lover”

Cougars women looking "boy toy" in Costa Rica goes on more than you might think

Although Costa Rica is known for older North American men to visit to shack up with younger lovers, though not in a great numbers, women do so also.

This week it cost a 45 year-old Florida woman her life, allegedly stabbed to death by her “jealous younger” lover, a man believed to be 15 years her junior.

According to the report by QCostarica, Sondra Lynn Elizondo, a mother of two and coordinator of medical care in Central American countries, was found dead in a Costa Rican hotel room.

The body was found naked Wednesday by a hotel worker in the Barrio California neighborhood of San Jose, several days after her arrival in the country.

Elizondo is said to have made regular visits to Costa Rica, investigators learning she met up with her young lover every time she was in country.

On this last occasion, investigator believe the young man stabbed her in a jealous rage, after sharing a meal and a bottle of wine. The identity and whereabouts of the young man is still unknown, only that he was seen by hotel staff leaving the hotel in a taxi.

Friends of Elizondo told investigators the young man was an extremely jealous, who would “never let her to speak to anybody”.

The brutal murder occurred in a Barrio La California hotel, a short distance from Gringo Gulch, where men (and women) look to hook up.

Though women looking for younger male (or female) lovers is not as common or as indiscreetly as that of men, the exploits of North American women in their 40s and 50s (cougars) looking for younger lovers is not something we hear too often or even at all, it does go on more than you might think.

The trend of older women dating younger men is growing steadily.
