A New York City board-certified plastic surgeon Matthew Schulman MD has seen a lot of derrieres in his line of work, and has summed up that there are 5 types of women’s butts through his study.
The first kind of butt that a woman can have is a square shaped butt, and they are pretty common with females.

If the line between the hip bone and outer though runs perpendicular to the ground, this kind of butt is a square.
The second kind of bum that a woman can have is the V shape, and that if the line between the pelvis and hips angeles inward. The butt takes on a V shape from behind, and is common with women with broad shoulders and very narrow hips.
The third kind of bottom a woman can have is the ‘pear shaped.’ This behind is common with women that widen below the hip bones.
This kind of bum has an A shape to it, and when you look at the diagram you can see it is narrow on top and widens at the bottom.
The fourth kind of butt is the round one which is pretty self explanatory. Some women are born with a naturally round backside. Dr Schulman says ‘by strengthening the butt muscles, it can give the backside ‘more projection’ without surgical intervention.’

The last kind of bottom is the heart shaped one. It is a round shape without defying gravity.
The heart shaped behind is similar to the round shaped butts because it involves a curve to the outer hips, but with more volume in the lower part of the hip.
According to Matthew Schulman MD these are the only five types of bottoms that women can have. There are different exercises you can do to make your behind higher and more of a round shape. Squats are an excellent way to achieve this.
